Smart Group:

In autumn 2006, at the age of 52, and after 25 years as a CNC Turner, I decided to change course in my career.
I wanted to find work using 3D Cad.
I contacted many agencies including Smart Group.
I found the Employment Agency profession to be rife with people who tend to "flower" the truth.
I found Smart Group to be honest, open and "On the Ball".
I spoke to Smart about a position they had available as a Support Designer and asked them to apply for it on my behalf. As I had no experience in design and was not a youngster anymore, I had found it difficult to get a foot in the door anywhere.
We had a good chat and Smart agreed that I may be "just what they were looking for".
I was sent for a working interview which I enjoyed very much, then I was given a 3 month temp-to-perm contract. After 9 weeks I have been given a full time position.
I am now working as an Assistant Design Engineer and I am Very Pleased indeed !
