  • Working in partnership with Dorset Enterprise & Skills (DES) to be involved with various talks to students at schools inc QE in Wimborne, Ferndown Upper School, The Grange in Xchurch – the aim is to prepare them for work, give them advice on cv’s and interviews and also talk to them about how we got where we are today an the importance of having “transferable” skills.  Most of these talks have been completed by the Directors of Smart which demonstrates the importance we place on events such as these.
  • Interview practice working with Connexions – 2 members of staff undertook some mock interviews in the office in February 2007 for various hairdressing students giving feedback to enable to them to perform better once out in the workplace.
  • Helen judged for the Young Enterprise competition in conjunction with DES in January 2007.
